As a former owner of a horse, I must say that I do NOT blame the animal for their reaction to the invasion of their space. You MUST respect the strength of the animal and give them all the respect they deserve! They are not a puppy or kitten! When my horse tried to bite me, I would bare my teeth and growl at him. He would then turn his head away. I earned his respect, and gave him the respect he deserved. (Yes, I would even scratch his butt for him when he prompted me!)
